Flower Head Band- Free Tutorial

This easy creation should take no more than 15 minutes to complete. I used a piece from my old satin pajamas, but any light fabric will work, just it should be synthetic to be burned. If you choose tulle- it is possible to leave these edges completely raw as raw edges of tulle will not fray. Have fun and enjoy:)

Pumpkin Hat Free Knitting Pattern

OK, here is an easy pattern for funny hat, that could be worn as a normal pumpkin hat or like a Jack O'Lantern Halloween hat if you sew a face on it:) The PDF Pattern you can download here: download now You will need: -approx. 50g (one skein) heavy worsted weight yarn (aran will work too) in orange; -scrap yarn in green and brown; -circular needle US 6 (4mm), double pointed needles for knitting an I-cord, seewing needle; -stitch marker. Gauge: 16sts and 25 rows in 4" (10cm). Size: Children 7-14, but will fit tightly adult head. Abbreviations: CO- Cast on st(s)- stitch(es) k- knit p- purl k2tog- knit two together m1 f&b- knit one front and back (Bar increase) rep- repeat The Pattern:

With orange yarn CO 70 sts, place marker and join.

Rounds 1-6: knit all sts.

Rounds 7-40: *k9, p1*, rep ** to end.

Decreasing rounds: Round 41: *k7, k2tog, p1*, rep ** to end= 63 sts.

Round 42: *k6, k2tog, p1*, rep ** to end= 56 sts.

Round 43: *k5, k2tog, p1*, rep ** to end= 49 sts.

Cut the orange yarn and join the green one.

Round: 44: *k4, k2tog, p1*, rep ** to end= 42 sts.

Round 45: *k5, p1*, rep ** to end.

Round 46: *k3, k2tog, p1*, rep ** to end= 35 sts.

Round: 47: *k4, p1*, rep ** to end.

Round 48: *k2, k2tog, p1*, rep ** to end= 28 sts.

Round 49: *k3, p1*, rep ** to end.

Round 50: *k1, k2tog, p1*, rep ** to end= 21 sts.

Round 51: *k2, p1*, rep ** to end.

Round 52: *k2tog, p1*, rep ** to end= 14 sts.

Round 53: k2tog to end= 7 sts.

With double pointed needles: Knit a 7-stitch I-cord for about 5" (13cm). Bind off. Weave the ends in the hat.

For Jack O'Lantern face: With brown yarn CO 2 sts.

Row 1: knit.

Row 2: knit.

Row 3: k2 f&b= 4 sts.

Row 4: knit.

Row 5: knit.

Row 6: k1 f&b, k2, k1 f&b= 6 sts.

Row 7: knit.

Row 8: knit.

Row 9: k1 f&b, k4, k1 f&b= 8 sts.

Row 10: knit.

Row 11: knit.

Row 12: k1 f&b, k6, k1 f&b= 10 sts.

Row 13: knit.

Row 14: knit.

Bind off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Pin the eyes to the hat and sew them on. Embroidery the mouth, or knit an I-cord and sew on in zig zag shape. That's all:)

Wedding Shrug Knitting PDF Pattern

Here is my last work- white lace shrug with large flower brooch and puff sleeves. It's so romantic and perfect for weddings, but you could wear it with jeans and casual dress too. The pattern is easy to knit so no worries if you are not a expert knitter:)
